RMC CLASS OF 55
NOOSA HEADS REUNION 2010
ACCOMMODATION
Introduction
Accommodation in Noosa Heads is both diverse and geographically dispersed throughout the Noosa area. The standards range from 2-3 stars to 4-5 stars. After quite extensive enquiries we have concluded that the best combination of location, standard and price is at Noosa Springs Resort, which is also the intended venue for our final dinner to be held on Thursday 13 May 2010.
I have therefore placed a provisional deposit with Noosa Springs to secure as much accommodation as possible for the period of the reunion next year. This decision has been made necessary to avoid losing the advantage of bulk billing rates. The resort has sufficient units which should allow most, if not all, of us to be co-located.
There is a range of accommodation options in the main Newsletter and also below Noosa Springs costing options for your consideration, and request that you indicate to me as soon as possible whether you wish to book into Noosa Springs. After 31 January 2010 it may be difficult to guarantee accommodation at Noosa Springs Resort.
I recognise of course that some of our classmates may have other accommodation in mind (e.g. the Sheraton or Hastings Street et al). However, I suggest that, if you are interested in making a booking for Noosa Springs, you take action to make the reservation before 31 January 2010, as the deposit I have placed expires on that date. If our total bookings exceed 20 villas, I feel confident that we can get a few more.
Accommodation at Noosa Springs Resort
The resort offers over 30 two- and three-bedroom villas. (We have discussed only two-bedroom units with the Accommodation Manager and have made no arrangement with regard to the three-bedroom units.) Each of the two bedrooms has a king-size bed and its own en-suite bathroom/toilet facilities. Each villa has a large living room overlooking the golf course, and a dining area with full kitchen facilities.
The villas are also quite close to the resort club house, restaurant, gym and the venue for our final dinner.
For those attendees who might wish to share accommodation with another couple (or single), with such an arrangement, the facilities are excellent and the per capita cost for two couples would be the cheapest and the best available in Noosa.
