My first task is to request your forbearance for the delay in sending this missive. I had hoped to have it out a month ago but circumstances dictated otherwise. Nevertheless, you still have a couple of months’ notice which I hope should suffice.
As of today we have 55 firm commitments to attend the Reunion. The drop in numbers from 64 is almost solely due to health issues for some of our people. There is a possibility that a few more will make it but, in my opinion, 60 will be the maximum number of attendees. I have contacted all those affected in this way and will be able to brief you all in Noosa in May.
Personal Accounts and Dietary Needs
Annex A is a critical part of our financial planning, and I seek your cooperation in confirming your attendance at the various planned activities ASAP. We also need to have advice of any specific medical or dietary requirements as soon as possible – please advise me of such requirements when you return your account document to me.
Programme
There are a couple of minor changes to the program I outlined in my original instruction (see Annex A page 1 of that document). They are:
- Day 1 The timing for the Meet ‘n’ Greet function is now 1700 to 2030 hours. It was felt that the extra half an hour would be useful to you on your arrival. Please note the time as transport will leave Noosa Springs Resort for the Catalina Wharf 1630 hours sharp on the 11th. You’ll need to take this time into account when planning your arrival time in Noosa Heads. (See Note 1 below.)
- Day 2 End-of-day drinks will be available at Noosa Springs as this will simplify our transport arrangements. We will probably plan for a small bus or coach to take non-Noosa Springs guests back to Noosa Heads at about 1830 hours.
- Day 3 There has been no change to the Day 3 program.
Transport
Annex B contains information about our coach services and airport shuttle services; and also car hire facilities in Noosa should anyone require a personal vehicle during their time here.
Note 1: Our preferred transport provider has suggested that it would be helpful if we have your mobile phone numbers, especially for out-of-state attendees on Day 1. This would help if any transport problems occur. Please provide these to us and we will ensure that the bus company is advised accordingly.
Attendance and Accommodation
I am happy to report that 39 of us will be staying at Noosa Springs. This will help to simplify transportation arrangements and will also provide opportunities for more non-activity contact for the majority of attendees. (See Annex C for the list of attendees and Annex D for attendee contact details during the reunion.)
Identification
You will receive a personal name card when you board the ‘Catalina’ on Day 1, 11 May. It would help if those of you who will be attending with accompanying partners or friends could let me know their surnames, please.Summary
At this stage we hope that this paper gives you sufficient background to help you plan your own movements to and from Noosa Heads. We look forward to seeing you all in May. Keep well and travel safely.

Your individual account will be based on your responses about your attendance at the various reunion activities.
Several of the planned activities require payment in advance or, at best, on the day. Therefore, will you please forward to me your cheque together with a completed copy of the table below at your earliest convenience, but in any case no later than Friday, 7 April.

Notes:
- Meet ‘n’ Greet includes boat hire, transport to and from the vessel, drinks and catering on board, and cost of the jazz band.
- Day 2 includes coach transport and visits to Mary Cairncross Park, Montville, lunch, a winery visit, and optional end-of-day drinks for an hour at Noosa Springs Resort.
- Day 3 includes the visit to Eumundi, lunch on the Noosa riverside at Trio’s restaurant, a ferry trip back to Noosa Heads, Hastings Street walkabout, and transport to accommodation at Noosa Heads.
- Day 3’s final dinner includes pre-dinner drinks in the Sunset Lounge of Noosa Springs and dinner in the main function room of the resort.
- Please note that class funds and your registration fees will be used to minimise costs to you as far as possible.
- Golf – Those who may be interested in a game of golf on Friday, 14 May at Tewantin/Noosa Golf Club should contact Peter Blyth directly on (07) 5474 5685 or (07) 5474 5477. Cost of hire clubs, carts and green fees are approximately $75.00 per head.
